Sri Adichunchanagiri Mahasamsthana Mutt, with its roots firmly embedded in the folds of time (about 2000 years), space & religion on a rocky hill about 100 km west of Bangalore city has been working towards the settlement of human life & society. This ancient “Dharma Peetha” has successfully preserved & propagated the Indian heritage through ages. Due to the presence of Panchalingas, Sri Kshetra Adichunchanagiri is also popularly called as ‘Panchalinga Kshetra’. Besides, the Mutt is striving for the welfare & betterment of the common people, particularly those of rural areas.
Sri Adichunchanagiri Shikshana Trust is a socio-cultural institution. It has adopted a versatile approach to ensure a better quality of life. The service activities of the mutt have increased manifold throughout his journey (71st seer) His Holiness Paramapoojya Yugayogi Bhairavaikya Jagadguru Padmabhooshana Dr. Sri Sri Sri Balagangadharanatha MahaSwamiji. He is a God given gift to the society. His contribution to the mankind is uncountable & unique. The great chunk of his donation is towards lighting the candle of knowledge that is education. Poojya MahaSwamiji’s Midas touch has given birth to institution from pre primary to post graduation levels and also professional courses like medicine, engineering, Teacher training institute etc., through Sri Adichunchanagiri Shikshana Trust(R). This trust is not limited to exorbitant words or adjectives to prove its worth. The service procured to the human society itself explains its greatness & generosity. Throughout India 480 educational institutions are spread over & more than 1,25,000 students are being benefited through these temples of learning.
