We at SAC Central School, Mysore, believe in encouraging competitions, competitions that foster the spirit of learning and challenge the children to give their best. It is about exposing them to new experiences, perspectives, and opportunities.
Such events provide students with a stage to showcase their talents, be it sporting / cultural / academic or creative talents and build on their excellence through competition with the best.
It motivates learners to try even harder. Winning is a morale booster. Children further develop their skills. There’s also the sheer enjoyment and fun of taking part. Values such as perseverance, respect, being humble in victory and gracious in defeat are learnt. When the competition involves teamwork, important life skills are taught. Participation brings kids together and they learn that together they can do so much more.
Most importantly, we want them to realize that winning is not the point and losing is not a big deal. What is meaningful in the whole exercise is what they learn about themselves, how they treat each other and how they add on to their skill levels.
We believe in the saying “the best preparation for tomorrow is doing your best today”.

NH Inter School Health Quiz Competition(08-07-2018)
In order to encourage students to look beyond their academic knowledge and establish health awareness NH organized Inter School Health Quiz Competition for 32 students from various class. Two students namely Abhishek G and Jeevan M shortlisted for the next round.
Builders Association of India (24-06-2018)
Selected Students of 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th standard participated in Spot Drawing Competition which was held by Builders Association of India Mysuru. Pavan Kumar N got 1st prize in Group B Spot Drawing.

National Colouring Contest
Mother Teresa Children’s Development Society Aurangabad, had conducted drawing competition from Nursery to class X. And all the entries were mailed to Aurangabad. All the students participated got the participation certificate. School Principal and Drawing teacher got the momento of appreciation. 6 students painting were selected as best painting.
11th State Level Children Art Drawing Competition 2018-19(21-07-2018)
Sri Ravi Varma Academy Trust(R) Shimoga, had conducted State Level Children Art Drawing Competition on 21st July for 57 students of various class.
National Safety Science Quiz (NSSQ) & Poster & Slogan Contest 2018-19
22 of class IX and X were participated in online Quiz National Safety Science Quiz and 12 students of 5th to 8th standard have participated in Poster and slogan writing contest.
4 students of class 9th and 10th std namely Maanya S Aithal, Shreyas D P, Sanjana C, Shwetha L selected for the Zonal level National Safety Science Quiz which was held at Bangalore.

PCRA Painting/Essay Competition 2018 (09-08-2018)
Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA), under the aegis of Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Govt. of India, is committed to make oil conservation a National Movement. As a part of its mandate, various literary and cultural events are conducted for School students. The Essay writing and Painting competitions were conducted in School premises on 9th August 2018. Selected 2 painting Gowri Shankara B of Class VIII, Harshitha G of class VI, Rahul M P of Class X paintings were uploaded PCRA website. All the painting entries got the participation certificate. In Essay Competition Section Maanya S Aithal of class IX, Bhavan B of Class X participated in Kannada Essay and got participation certificate. Supriya of Class VII, Disha M P of Class IX participated in English Essay and got participation certificate. M S Sindhurani of class IX, Shwetha L of Class X participated in Hindi Essay and got participation certificate.
