Classrooms

At SAC Central School we have 18 spacious, well equipped classrooms for students. Classrooms are designed such that every student gets the teacher's maximum individual attention. To showcase the creative, informative and academic activities of the students, all rooms are provided with sufficient number of bulletin boards. The huge permanent writing board is placed at a centre point for appropriate viewing of all in the room. Book racks and book shelves are added advantage for both students and teachers alike - as they increase the storage space. Cleanliness of the classroom is given prime importance.

Library and Media Center

The Library which is the main resource center for the students and the faculty has a collection of volumes with a special reference section and a reading corner. SACCS, Mysore aims to inculcate a healthy reading habit in students by providing them with a varied diet of books. Faculty enrichment is catered to with a wide selection of material ranging from classroom management to innovative teaching learning methods. Resource material in the form of maps, worksheets, Question Banks, etc., are available, to boost classroom learning. A special reference section devoted to competitive Exams is a boon to the Higher Secondary students. The well ventilated ambience is an added incentive for the students to spend quality time in the library. The tiny-tots love the Reading Programme sections which is stocked with appealing books full of illustrations. The library is a favourite haunt of all students.

Physics Lab

Science is ever dynamic. There is no final theory in science and no unquestioned amongst scientists. Physics is the branch of science which is devoted to the study of nature and natural phenomenon. The purpose of performing physics experiments in the lab is not only to reinforce the material we learn in the physics lecture but also to enhance our understanding of how scientific knowledge actually progresses. As we perform the experiments, we encounter a messy reality quite unlike the tidy exercises of the text books. It gives the taste of the difficulties and the thrills of real experimentation and we come out with a greater appreciation of how the laws of nature are teased out of "real world". Here SACCS students are enjoying a well equipped lab with a state-of-art facility. Students can have a hands on experience with the equipments and are able to connect the abstract theories to the real life application using many devices like venire caliper, screw gauge.

Biology Lab

Biology Lab deals with the Science of living things - What they are, how they work, interact and change or evolve. The living organisms interact with one another, as well as with their physical and chemical environment. Biology, as a discipline of science, demands a scientific approach for analysis of its facts. It is, therefore, imperative that students of biology should have a clear idea about the basic nature of science. Here, students can make temporary slides (onion peel. cheek cells, T.S of stem, root, stomata etc) and observe their structure under the microscope. They can observe permanent slides of cell division, micro organisms and transverse sections of root stem and leaves. They perform experiments related to photosynthesis, respiration, nutrition, excretion and many more physiological processes. Primary class students do visit the lab to observe the different bones/joint of the human skeleton and to observe bottle specimens of various plants animals. Because of all the above hands on activities, students learn their concepts very well.

Chemistry Lab

Learning becomes more fun when theory is completed with practical experience. To ensure an all round practical knowledge, a well, equipped chemistry lab with all the necessary apparatus is an asset. Students have a firsthand experience on various experiments ranging from crystallization of salts, analysis of salts to volumetric analysis. Practical learning enriches their knowledge and helps them to correlate to the theoretical knowledge. Practical experience helps them to derive unknown to known facts. The experience of observing various chemicals reactions which otherwise they learn in the form of equations gives a lot of pleasure and thrill to the students. Igniting the Bunsen burner, analyzing the salts and observing the various reactions taking place gives firsthand information to the learners. It also gives them an in-sight into the chemical world of reactions! Working in a chemistry lab trains children to be alert and cautious. It hones the young mind to develop a keen scientific temper and enhance their scientific skills.

Cyber Lab

Computer Education is a part of the curriculum from class 1 to 10. Here, emphasis is on concept formation rather than merely providing information. Our lab's infrastructure have built keeping in mind the creativity of our students. They are built into a network where teams of students can come together and work on projects by effectively collaborating with each other. Our labs are protected by data security policies that have been configured into the anti-virus server which ensures these policies are pushed into each system at required frequency to make them virus attack proof. In SACCS the stress on computer education is more to groom our students to be creative with machines and to imbibe the habit of making use of information available around them.
